Robert Franklin Frampton was born in 1882 in Homer City and moved to Punxatawney in 1889. He later moved to Ridgway and was very involved in the Church of Christ. He worked for the BR&P Railroad and was transferred to various locations in Pennsylvania. During World War One, he worked the railroads and during World War Two he joined an experienced group of Pennsylvania riflemen called the Guerillas. Frampton traced his family history to 1066.
